There are three methods 99% of thieves use to break a Padlock, they are:

• Leverage Attack
• Hammer Attack
• Bolt Cutter Attack

How do we STOP thieves breaking padlocks...

This is achieved with the inclusion of Theft Proof Security Products (opens in a new window) Padlock Protection patented Steel Shroud and including 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain - NB: Cannot be cut with a Bolt Cutter no matter how long the Bolt Cutter is.

The method used to secure the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain to the Wheel through the Stainless Steel Shield at 4 points and round the towable or driveable vehicle's leaf springs or tubular frame at 2 points or another part of the chassis if the Vehicle has coil springs and/or piston suspension. Then locks at the front with the customised Padlock inside the Steel Shroud (opens in a new window) patented locking system.

3. How does the security option Supreme protect a towable or drivable Vehicle being stolen.

• Stainless Steel Shield covers the wheel nuts so they cannot be loosened or removed. It also has four specifically positioned holes enabling the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain to pass through.
• 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain cannot be cut with a Bolt Cutter no matter how long the Bolt Cutter is. The Chain is placed through the two bottom holes in the Stainless Steel Shield then passes under and over the towable or driveable vehicle's leaf springs or tubular frame (most Caravan chassis) or another part of the chassis if the Vehicle has coil springs and/or piston suspension.
  Then on either side of the Wheel the Chain is placed through the two top holes in the Stainless Steel Shield then locks at the front with Theft Proof Security Products (opens in a new window) Padlock Protection patented Steel Shroud locking system with the customised Padlock inside the Steel Shroud - opens in a new window.

• Steel Shroud with customised Padlock is positioned as close as possible to the top of the Stainless Steel Shield under the 90 degree bend. The bend is where the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain passes through the two top holes as you can see in the following picture.

The Australian made Wheel Clamp security option Supreme includes the patented Padlock Protection Steel Shroud locking system (opens in a new window) to secure your towable or drivable Vehicle Wheel but before it can be used as the security option Supreme the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain may have to be cut to length for your Vehicle type.

As soon as you receive your new Wheel Clamp security option Supreme you can use it to secure your towable or drivable Vehicle.

How...

The security option Supreme without the patented Steel Shroud is the security option Enforcer. This ensures you can protect your towable or drivable Vehicle as soon as you receive your Australian made Wheel Clamp.

Why we, the manufacturer, cannot cut the Chain to length...

Both ends of the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain has to go into each side of the Steel Shroud as you can see in the following picture.

We do not know...

• The diameter of the Wheel and the width of the Tyre.
• The distance from the back of the Tyre to the leaf springs or tubular frame, as used to manufacture most Caravan chassis.
• The width of the leaf springs or the dimensions of the tubular steel used to make most Caravan chassis.
• If your towable Vehicle has coil springs and/or piston suspension each manufacturer chassis is made slightly different therefore this is why a 5m length of High Tensile Chain is required. Depending on the make and model you will need between 4.6m - 4.95m.

Try this before cutting the High Tensile Chain...

When you receive your Wheel Clamp security option Supreme follow the fitting instructions to measure the length of Chain you need for your towable or drivable Vehicle and if its just a few links that need cutting off try the following.

On the left or right side of the Wheel remove the Chain from the top hole in the Steel Shield and wrap the Chain over the leaf springs or another part of the chassis again then place the Chain back through the top hole in the Steel Shield, this may save you cutting the Chain to length.

Tip...

The Steel Shield does not have to be tight against the Wheel, there can be 50mm - 100mm between the face of the Wheel and the Steel Shield.

If you need to cut the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain...

There is only one method, a high speed angle grinder. Most people will know someone who owns a high speed angle grinder if not contact any of the following, most suburbs will have the following trades:

• Sheet metal manufacturer.
• Any other manufacture that makes metal products.
• Some plumbers and electricians.
• Or someone you know.

When the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain has been cut to length you are ready to fit the Wheel Clamp security option Supreme to your towable or drivable vehicle's Wheel.
